Job Description

Onsite in Fife Lake, MI. Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm with Overtime of Fridays as needed. $18.50 per hour. Hayes Manufacturing has been making quality power transmission products since 1973. To learn more, visit us at hayescouplings.com. Hayes Manufacturing is looking for a Production Control Assistant at our Fife Lake, MI location. The Production Control Assistant supports the Production Control Manager with overseeing the production planning and master schedule within the organization and can perform all required functions within the assigned area. The assistant helps to ensure the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departments.
What You'll Do:
Assist in capacity analysis by specific work center. Provide other support to production and management as required. Assist in expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and managing daily production schedule meetings. Assist in issuing and tracking production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule. Assist in the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues. Assist in maintaining production item master setup. Assist in setting up daily production entries. Field incoming calls from priority customers on order status. Assist in posting production entries. Perform cycle counts when necessary. File and perform miscellaneous duties for department. Daily production floor walk through. Cross train by occasionally working on production floor. Assist in answering phones.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 or more years of experience in similar role in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing operations a plus. The above list is non-exhaustive.
