Responsibilities Daily Activities
- Responsible for maintaining basic condition of equipment through Cleaning, Inspection, & Lubrication activities.
- Responsible for machine operation, shutdown, changeover, clean-up, and day-to-day troubleshooting to allow for production of safe, quality production. Manage and dispose of department recyclables and garbage.
- Requires exercise of ingenuity to solve unusual and difficult problems as employee works to troubleshoot and clear/remedy errors. This position requires critical thinking and quick action to protect sterility of the process and product.
- Employee must be able to turn operation from cleaning to production or production to cleaning.
- Effectively work with interdepartmental personnel to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management or team leaders. Continuous Improvement
- All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) and in the future Lean Initiative activities as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory. Safety, Health, and Environmental
- Employee shall follow Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
- All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance
- All employees will maintain environmentally conscious production efforts.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
- Job requires minimal computer or other technical knowledge to be successful.
- Performs transactions and/or records information in a computer.
- High School Diploma or GED required as well as other training. Experience 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a production or machine operator Skills
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Effective reading, writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications / licenses.
