Mill Operator

Job Description

Job Purpose The purpose of this position is to continuously construct parts both accurately and without waste. Essential Responsibilities Construct parts in accordance with Standardized Work and Work Instructions Conduct visual check of the parts for paint defects, scratches, and bumps/dents Meet or exceed daily production goals; maintain cleanliness of workstation Adhere to ROL personnel policies, quality standards and company procedures Maintain communication with teammates and supervisor regarding work status, quality concerns, etc. Attend department and company-wide meetings Setup and operation of CNC Mill Build parts from raw material to finished part including programming, fixturing, and QC Run secondary equipment as needed Read and interpret blueprints Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct any deviations from specifications Any other duties/tasks assigned by management Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED highly preferred Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in manufacturing, preferred Experience following written and verbal instructions Basic math and computer skills Good interpersonal skills, especially in an open team environment Working conditions Work primarily on plant floor with exposure to loud noise, vibrations, and moving mechanical parts. There will be minimal safety and health hazard potential. Travel Requirements There is no travel outside of the regular work location required. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to frequently move about inside the plant floor. Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. in accordance with safe-moving practices. May be required to use such tools on a frequent basis.
