Job Description
As a Production Trainer / Operator, you'll play a key role in helping operators build their skills, follow safe and efficient processes, and consistently produce quality parts. You'll combine hands-on machine operation with training, coaching, quality inspection, and process documentation, using your experience to help strengthen both the team and the product. Production Trainer / Operator Responsibilities Provide training for new and existing operators on SOPs, equipment operation, safety, quality standards, and production processes, providing coaching and retraining as needed. Document training completion, track employee progress, and communicate feedback with employees and supervisors. Inspect and measure parts according to In-Process Inspection Sheets, complete SPC documentation, submit required samples to the Quality Lab, and properly handle nonconforming products. Operate equipment as required, including performing coil changes, maintaining coolant and machine oil levels, and operating presses when not training. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; manage scrap containers and material movement, and accurately complete WIP travelers and scrap reports. About You High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience Comfortable lifting 40 - 60lbs occasionally Must have valid Hi-Lo / Forklift and Pendant Crane operating licenses Working knowledge of hold tags and containment processes Understanding of washer checks, labels, and finishing logs Skilled in gauging and inspection procedures Able to read blueprints, spec cards, and project instructions Shift & Pay 1st
