Imlay City-based global Tier 2 supplier of formed plastics is seeking Temporary Production Operators to join their team. Direct Hire opportunities for the right individuals. TONS of overtime. Multiple shifts are available. 2nd
Shift:
1P-9P; Mon-Fri w/ possible Sat OT; $17 w/ shift premium; 3rd
Shift:

Job Description:
This position will be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining production lines, inspecting finished products, and adhering to all safety protocols. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operators will utilize primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Individuals will be responsible for following all procedures and work instructions to achieve optimal productivity, quality, safety, and environmental policies.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
1) Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal performance. 2) Perform quality checks on products throughout the manufacturing process. 3) Assemble components according to specifications and engineering drawings. 4) Package and Label product. 5) Record scraped material as needed. 6) Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards. 7) Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. 8) Troubleshoot minor issues with machinery and report major concerns to supervisors. 9) Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency. 10)Report production, quality, safety, and/or environmental concerns. 11)Adhere to all company policy and procedures

  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to understand basic caliper and instruments of measurement.
  • Ability to understand basic blueprint reading.
  • Visual acuity and focus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Must keep a clean work area, good organizational skills, and punctual and dependable.
Physical Demands:
