$27-$30/hour, based on experience Position Overview A heavy manufacturing company is seeking a Forging Team Lead to support and lead 2nd-shift forging operations. This is a hands-on floor leadership role focused on coordinating the crew, supporting operators, maintaining production flow, and solving day-to-day production issues. Direct forging experience is strongly preferred and may qualify candidates for the top end of the pay range. Key Responsibilities Lead and support daily 2nd-shift forging operations. Coordinate operators, equipment, and production priorities. Help meet production goals safely and efficiently. Support operators with equipment and process issues. Assist with training and developing team members. Monitor quality and ensure work instructions are followed. Troubleshoot forging presses and related production equipment. Communicate downtime and equipment concerns to supervision and maintenance. Reinforce safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant standards. Step into hands-on production work when needed. Qualifications Manufacturing or heavy industrial production experience. Forging, stamping, steel, foundry, or similar experience preferred. Previous lead, senior operator, or team coordination experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to train, guide, and support operators. Comfortable working around heavy equipment, hot metal, and industrial machinery. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Available for 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
