Job Description

Production Operator-Forging Your role The Forging Operator will be a hands-on position responsible for high quality manufacturing of self-piercing rivets (SPR). Tasks include set-up and running a 6-station cold heading machine and ensure all settings are proper to achieve optimal results. Operators will be responsible for following processes as described by the work instructions and keeping work area clean and organized. You will report to the Production Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Employees must always demonstrate safe work practices Set-up and operate cold header machines Follow work instructions and procedures Understand and operate machine controls Change tooling and weld coils as required Maintain good quality using Statistical Process Control Maintain required production numbers while keeping scrap rates low Troubleshoot quality issues during production Must be able to run multiple cold-heading machines throughout shift Follow 5-S principles To succeed, you will need We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. Good oral and written communication skills Understanding that Safety and Quality come first Must be good with hand tools and have a strong mechanical aptitude Self-driven High attention to detail Ability to understand and measure parts using appropriate measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, indicator gages Ability to read part prints and tooling prints Basic computer skills Basic mathematic skills including use of decimals and fractions Punctual, reliable and team-oriented Positive attitude with a growth mindset
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
