In this hands-on leadership role, you will guide the production team, manage workflow, support automated plant systems, and help ensure every order is completed accurately, safely, and on time. This position is ideal for an experienced dry cleaning or production professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and keeping fast-paced operations running smoothly. What You'll Do Lead Daily Plant Operations Manage production workflow: Organize daily production for dry cleaning, shirt laundry, and household items while maintaining accurate order tracking, routing, and reconciliation from multiple satellite locations.
Assign team priorities:
Coordinate daily work for pressing, sorting, detailing, assembly, and finishing team members to meet production goals.
Support equipment performance:
Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with boilers, presses, dry cleaning machines, automatic sorters, baggers, and related production equipment.
Oversee automated systems:
Monitor computer-driven tagging, sorting, routing, and production systems; coordinate with technical support or vendors for advanced diagnostics, software updates, and calibration when needed. Maintain Quality, Efficiency, and Inventory Control Inspect finished garments: Ensure orders meet quality standards for stain removal, pressing, finishing, assembly, and presentation.
Track turnaround times:
Monitor order processing times, production quotas, and daily output to support on-time delivery to retail counters and route drivers.
Manage plant supplies:
Monitor and maintain inventory production supplies; forecast demand and reorder proactively to avoid disruptions. Coach and Support the Production Team Train and onboard team members: Hire, onboard, and train production staff. Provide hands-on instruction on garment handling, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality expectations.
Set clear goals:
Communicate daily production targets, monitor progress, and provide coaching to help the team meet performance expectations.
Promote a safe workplace:
Maintain a clean, organized plant environment and enforce safety, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards for chemical handling and equipment use. What We're Looking For Dry cleaning, commercial laundry, or manufacturing plant experience: 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume dry cleaning plant, laundry operation, manufacturing environment, or similar production setting preferred.
Leadership experience:
Proven ability to lead, coach, and schedule a production team of five or more employees in a fast-paced environment.
Garment care knowledge:
Strong understanding of fabric types, stain removal chemicals, spotting techniques, finishing standards, and garment quality control.
Equipment knowledge:
Familiarity with utility presses, shirt presses, dry cleaning machines, steam boilers, automatic sorters, baggers, and computer-controlled production systems.
Physical requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in a warm plant environment, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed. Why Join CD One Price Cleaners?
