Position Overview We're seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Operator/Inspector to join our production team. This role is essential to ensuring that every part leaving our facility meets Trenton Forging's high standards for quality and precision. You'll operate hydraulic presses and related equipment, perform quality inspections, and play a key role in maintaining efficient production flow. Key Responsibilities Operate, clean, and service hydraulic presses and other manufacturing equipment. Perform equipment changeovers to meet production requirements. Conduct visual and dimensional quality inspections on materials, processes, and finished parts. Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and make minor repairs when needed. Stage and move raw materials using a forklift (hi-lo). Record production output, quality results, and downtime in the computer system. Perform basic math calculations for setups and adjustments. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation (5S standards). Collaborate with production teammates to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Experience:

Experience operating a press or similar production machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and quality focus. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. Effective listening and communication skills; able to make quick, sound decisions. Comfortable using basic math and handheld measuring tools. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Stand for extended periods (up to 100% of the shift). Frequent twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Lift and move up to 15 lbs throughout the day. HSA Note:

If an employee opts out of their medical coverage with Trenton Forging Company, the Company will pay the employee $70 weekly

If the employee selects one of the HSA medical plans above, they are automatically enrolled in a Health Savings Account (HSA). The Company makes $500 annual contributions for employees who choose single-person medical coverage and $1000 annual contributions for coverage of 2 or more persons. Life Insurance Our forging company automatically pays for a $15,000 life insurance policy for each employee. Additional life insurance may be purchased by the employee, up to $150,000 in employee coverage, $50,000 in spousal coverage, and $10,000 coverage per child. 401(k) On the first month after 60 days of employment, all employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan with Merrill Lynch.
