Job Overview The Shop Utility / Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. Primary duties include cleaning production areas, removing machining chips and debris, mopping floors, assisting with routine equipment maintenance tasks, and providing general labor support throughout the shop as needed. Responsibilities
- Sweep and remove metal chips, grinding debris, and general waste from production areas.
- Mop and clean shop floors, aisles, and work areas.
- Empty trash, chip containers, and other designated waste containers.
- Keep areas around CNC machines, weld stations, assembly areas, and other production equipment clean and organized.
- Assist with assigned daily and routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, checking or topping off approved fluids, cleaning filters, and other basic maintenance activities as trained.
- Complete required maintenance checklists or records for assigned tasks.
- Clean up coolant, oil, and other minor spills using proper shop procedures.
- Assist production employees with basic material handling, moving parts, organizing material, cleaning finished parts, deburring, packaging, or other general shop tasks as assigned.
- Assist with general shop organization and 5S activities.
- Properly use required PPE and follow all company safety procedures.
- Perform other general manufacturing support duties as assigned.

Qualifications No previous manufacturing experience required; industrial or shop experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable and able to work independently after training.
- Willingness to perform physical and sometimes dirty work in an industrial environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment after training qualifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and kneel; lift and carry approximately 50 lb; and work around machining fluids, metal chips, welding operations, noise, and other normal manufacturing-shop conditions.
Position Purpose This position supports production by keeping the manufacturing environment clean, safe, organized, and ready for work, while assisting production personnel with basic support and maintenance activities as needed.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
