This Employee is responsible for filling cylinders, loading and unloading trailers and some driving of tractor trailer equipment around our lot. This is a full-time hourly position with hours that typically range from 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday, which may vary based on workload and Company need. Purity Cylinder Gases is an independent, family-owned and operated industrial gas and welding supply distributor with 16 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Purity has been in business since 1938 and services multiple industries throughout Michigan and Indiana. Major Functions Perform general plant positions Move cylinders with forklift trucks, carts or manually Load and unload inter-office trailers Low pressure filling Fill Island procedures Other as needed and qualified (dry ice, QCU, . . .) Back up to other areas within the plant Cylinder Maintenance Ultrasonic testing Other as needed and qualified (medical, . . .) Qualifications Needed Able to understand and carry out oral and written instruction Able to read and verify things such as numbers and labels Ability to move heavy objects (60 pounds) and move cylinders around the plant Able to work as a team player with management and fellow employees Must take pride in their quality of work Good with basic math Must have high school diploma or equivalent at minimum Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
