Job Overview Print Central in Blaine, MN is looking for an experienced and dependable Digital Print Production Operator to join our team. This is primarily a hands-on production position, with opportunities to also assist with customer service, file preparation/prepress, estimating, and job coordination. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a small print-shop environment where team members wear multiple hats and help each other get the work done. Key Responsibilities Digital Print Production Set up and operate digital printing equipment for short-run and quick-turn projects. Produce business cards, brochures, flyers, booklets, forms and other commercial print products. Monitor print quality, color, registration and accuracy throughout production. Operate cutters and basic finishing equipment including folding, trimming and laminating. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine operator maintenance. Review job tickets carefully and ensure jobs are produced correctly and on schedule. Help minimize errors, waste and remakes. Coordinate with our other production locations when appropriate. Customer Service & Prepress Assist walk-in, phone and email customers when needed. Review and preflight customer files for production. Make basic file corrections and adjustments using Adobe Acrobat and other Adobe applications. Enter and update orders in our print management system. Assist with estimates, job specifications, pickups and production coordination. Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers about job requirements and deadlines. What We're Looking For Commercial printing or digital print production experience preferred. Experience operating Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Konica Minolta or similar digital presses strongly preferred. Experience with cutters and finishing equipment. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat; Illustrator and InDesign experience is helpful. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing work correctly. Comfortable working directly with customers when needed. Able to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and comfortable working as part of a small team. Willing to cross-train and learn additional areas of the operation.
