Midwest Staffing Group is currently hiring for a Production Associate position with a well-established manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous soldering experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position.

Long-Term Opportunity Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Production Associate specializing in Soldering to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling electronic components and electro-mechanical systems with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in electronics assembly, soldering, and reading electrical schematics, contributing to the efficient production of high-quality products. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and excellence in manufacturing. Duties Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) following detailed blueprints and schematics. Assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components using hand tools and specialized equipment. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprint specifications accurately to guide assembly processes. Conduct electrical testing using tools such as ohmmeters to ensure proper connections and functionality. Assist in troubleshooting engineering issues related to soldering, wiring, and component placement. Follow IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality control to maintain compliance with industry best practices. Support mechanical assembly tasks, including machining and fitting parts as required. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing procedures. Skills Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Experience with PCB assembly, surface mount technology, and electrical wiring. Skilled in soldering techniques for both surface mount and through-hole components. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration within electronic systems. Knowledge of electrical panel building, wiring practices, and schematic interpretation. Ability to use hand tools effectively for assembly, wiring, and component placement. Understanding of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Basic engineering troubleshooting skills related to electro-mechanical components. Competence in using testing instruments such as ohmmeters for quality assurance. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and adherence to manufacturing protocols.
