This is a dual-purpose position designed for candidates who excel in a hands-on manufacturing environment and aspire to advance into a technical career. As a Production Specialist, you will not only support day-to-day production operations but also participate in an intensive training program that will prepare you for a future role as a technician.Key Responsibilities:
Production Support:
Prepare materials for production, including basic assembly, quality control, part cleaning, and maintenance. Assist with inventory management by pulling, restocking, and accurately labeling components. Support shop operations through effective organization, documentation and packaging activities.Technical Development:
Work alongside Senior HP Shop Technicians to learn advanced technical processes. Participate in ongoing training designed to build skills in tool usage, blueprint reading, technical troubleshooting, high purity testing and quality control procedures. Gradually take on additional responsibilities as you develop the competencies required for a technician role.Administrative Duties:
Accurately document job information using both digital systems and paper documentation.Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team setting. Strong communication skills and keen attention to detail. Basic understanding of tools, parts, technical drawings, and blueprint interpretation. Ability to perform physical tasks, including safely lifting materials up to 50 lbs. Competency in both digital and manual record-keeping. A demonstrable interest in technical learning and career advancement within manufacturing.Advancement and Training:
This role is specifically designed as a career launchpad for future Technicians. Candidates who demonstrate the required aptitude will undergo training that includes on-the-job learning and mentorship. Advancement will be based on demonstrated technical proficiency, performance, attention to detail and readiness to take on higher-level responsibilities.Job Type:
