Job Description

The Production Team Member plays a key role in the processing, mixing, and bagging of bird seed within a newly built, state-of-the-art facility. This position supports materials handling, inventory management, cleaning, and general facility maintenance while working in a climate-controlled environment with a modern, automated production line. This role requires physical activity, including lifting 50-pound bags and pails, and offers opportunities for training, skill development, career advancement, and long-term growth within the company. Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug test is required before employment can begin. 2nd
Shift:
Monday - Friday 12p - 830p Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform a variety of production tasks including processing, mixing, and bagging bird seed. Handle materials, inventory, and assist with facility cleaning and maintenance. Lift, carry, and stack 50-pound bags and pails as required. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Read and follow production plans. Set scale weights accurately. Feed bags through sewing machines or heat sealers. Stack completed bags onto pallets or into boxes. Move completed pallets using an electric pallet jack. Shrink-wrap pallets using automated and manual methods. Assist in mixing and blending feed. Load and unload trailers as needed. Operate a forklift (experience preferred; training provided if needed). Operate a yard dog to safely move semi-trailers in place for production and shipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the feed mill. Help customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management. Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned. R equired Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to work extended hours as needed. Commitment to plant operations and company goals. Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained. Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug test before starting. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds or more. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
