This role supports press and bindery operations by completing detailed handwork such as collating, folding, inserting, padding, labeling, and packaging. Accuracy, efficiency, and consistent quality are essential to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform hand assembly and finishing of printed materials, including collating, inserting, gluing, taping, padding, labeling, and packaging Follow job tickets and written instructions to ensure work is completed to exact specifications Inspect printed pieces for quality, accuracy, and defects before final packaging Accurately clock in and out of each job using the company's computer time-tracking system to ensure proper job costing and production reporting Maintain production pace to meet daily output goals and deadlines Assist with sorting, counting, bundling, and preparing materials for shipment Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Communicate production issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly Support other departments as needed during high-volume periods Qualifications Previous experience in printing, bindery, assembly, or manufacturing preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions precisely Basic computer skills required for job time entry and production tracking Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic Work Environment Production floor environment with moderate noise Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion Safety procedures and PPE must be followed at all times
