Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Brake Press Operator for a 1st shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining brake press machinery to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Set up and operate various types of brake press machines, ensuring precise bending of sheet metal parts. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings to determine tooling requirements and machine settings. Conduct routine inspections of tooling and machinery to identify wear or malfunctions Perform routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols related to machine operation. Support assembly processes by fabricating components as needed Skills Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read blueprints accurately. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection tools. Basic math skills Knowledge of safety procedures involving cranes, hand tools, forklifts, and other equipment used in sheet metal fabrication. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
