Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to make an impact in early childhood education as a Speech-Language Pathologist for an Extended School Year (ESY) program this summer. In this contract role, you'll work with young learners from birth to age 5, using your expertise to guide them through critical milestones in communication and language development. This short-term assignment runs from June 8th to June 25th, Monday through Thursday mornings—offering you a flexible, focused schedule with your afternoons and weekends free. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team, conducting engaging therapy sessions and assessments that help set the foundation for lifelong learning.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure or eligibility (CFY or CCC required) Experience or special interest in working with children ages birth-5 Comfortable performing evaluations for infants and toddlers, including those in the birth-2 age group Strong communication and collaboration skills Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to children in an early intervention and preschool setting Complete comprehensive evaluations for children aged birth-2 as needed Develop individualized treatment plans to address each child's needs Document progress and communicate with families and educational staff Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic child development Maintain compliance with all reporting and regulatory guidelines This role is ideal for those passionate about early intervention, offering a unique chance to impact the youngest learners and gain valuable school-based experience within a supportive educational environment.
