Production Specialist

Job Summary Are you passionate about animal nutrition and making a difference in the lives of animals? In this role, you will play a critical part in the production of high-quality animal feed supporting the health and well-being of animals. RALCO is looking for a Production Specialist to manufacture, inspect, test, receive, mix, and package animal feed related products in preparation for delivery to members. This position will be responsible for precisely weighing up feed ingredients and medications, while learning other important aspects of the feed mill. This position may require you to work at all height levels of the feed mill. Job Responsibilities Operate feed mill equipment to process and manufacture animal feed Monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Assist with loading and unloading ingredients and finished products Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace Aptitude for math, problem solving, computers and mechanics Required Skills Able to follow instructions and written production schedules in English Able to act quickly when a problem arises Attention to detail Analytical and critical thinking skills Problem solving Teamwork Physical strength and coordination Aligns with RALCO's Values and Purpose.

Job Requirements Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience :

Prior experience in a manufacturing or feed mill setting preferred

General:

Satisfactorily complete introductory period per company policy. Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing or feed mill setting preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety Team player with excellent communication skills Preferred Experience 1-3 years industrial experience preferred. Some knowledge of mechanical and processing equipment is important. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Good mechanical aptitude and skilled in safe operation of equipment. Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations. Works well with others in a team environment.
