This role supports the production process by preparing products for shipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. The position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced, refrigerated production environment. Essential Functions of the Role Grade, classify, clean, slice, trim, sort, and package produce according to size, weight, color, and quality specifications Place produce into bags, trays, or other packaging for shipment Inspect products for quality and remove defective items such as bruised or scarred produce Compare products against charts or samples to ensure adherence to quality standards Notify supervisors of production or quality issues and assist with corrective actions Maintain clean, organized, sanitized, and safe workstations and production areas Work efficiently in a refrigerated production environment Follow all company food safety procedures, GMPs, and SOPs Required Qualifications and Skills Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift Ability to distinguish colors accurately for produce grading Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards Preferred Qualifications and Skills Previous experience in produce handling, fresh cut production, food processing, or warehouse environments Prior experience with fresh produce packaging and quality inspection Physical Requirements Stand, walk, reach, and manipulate items constantly throughout the shift Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (approximately 38°F) Tolerate wet floors due to washing and sanitation processes Schedule and Compensation Production shifts: Monday - Friday, starting at 7:00 AM Shift end times may vary; flexibility required Overtime opportunities available Starting pay rate: $16.37 Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Basic life insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401(k) retirement plan Pet insurance Work Environment Refrigerated production room maintained at approximately 38°F Wet floors due to produce washing and sanitation processes Personal protective equipment provided: boots, smocks, hairnets Employment Eligibility This position requires compliance with federal law, including completion of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
