Join our team as Sr. Manufacturing Accounting & Payroll Specialist!
Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, develop and prepare financial schedules and consolidated month-end financial statements and other financial reports. Participate in and assist VP Finance with year end close and audit, account reconciliation, schedules and statements. Prepare and submit state sales tax returns. Review job close, job costing and inventory validation reports for accuracy and make corrections as needed. Review and approve credit and rebill requests. Maintain fixed asset schedules and update with additions and deletions on a timely basis. Process payroll for all company locations, including submission, reporting, commission calculations, garnishments, and child support processing. Assist with annual benefits and insurance renewals. Provide guidance, backup and support, and direct the work load for corporate Billing Specialist and Credit/Collection Specialist.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years of progressive accounting experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, based on the candidate's overall qualifications, knowledge, skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully perform the position. Experience with manufacturing accounting, including job costing, inventory, and related financial reporting, is strongly preferred. Computer experience and proficiency with Accounting and Payroll systems, Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs, and the ability to learn new software as needed. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive and proprietary information and material. Demonstrated ability of clear communication, attention to detail and ability to handle numerous projects, prioritize workload, work with minimum supervision with fast-paced expectations and accountabilities.
