The Assistant Line Lead supports the daily operations of the production floor by helping coordinate workflow, directing production laborers, and ensuring jobs are prepared before reaching the production line. This individual leads by example, works alongside the production team, and helps maintain an efficient, organized, and safe work environment.What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist in coordinating daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Direct and support production laborers by assigning work, answering questions, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Proactively prepare upcoming jobs by reviewing travelers, staging racks, hardware, masking materials, packaging and ensuring all required materials are available before work reaches the production line.
- Help identify production bottlenecks and communicate issues to the Line Lead or Operations Manager before they impact production.
- Read and interpret travelers, work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Verify that jobs are properly identified, counted, labeled, and routed throughout the production process.
- Assist with preparing parts for coating, including sanding, masking, hanging, washing, drying, and racking as needed. What makes you a great fit:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
- Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Powder coating or industrial finishing experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
