Company Overview:

Minnesota Ice is the nation's leading manufacturer of sculpture-grade ice and is the Midwest leader in artisan ice production. We specialize in Pure & Clear™ cocktail ice, ice sculptures, packaged ice, and ice events. We are seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join the Minnesota Ice team! In this role, you will help ensure our ice products are produced efficiently and meet the highest quality standards, supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service. A packaged and cocktail ice manufacturing production worker is responsible for the precision creation, processing, and packaging of high-end ice products—such as crystal-clear cubes, spheres, and large blocks—used in premium beverage service. This role combines manual craftsmanship with the operation of specialized industrial machinery to meet strict food safety and aesthetic standards.

Key Responsibilities Production & Fabrication :

Operate high-speed equipment including CNC machines, bandsaws, and manual presses to transform large ice blocks into specific cocktail shapes.

Quality Assurance :

Perform visual and physical inspections to ensure ice is crystal clear, free of foreign objects, and meets precise dimensional specifications.

Machine Operation :

Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot production lines, including ice baggers and conveyors to maintain efficient workflow.

Sanitation & Food Safety :

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and "Ice is Food" safety standards, maintaining a sterile environment to prevent contamination.

Packaging & Logistics :

Accurately bag, label, and organize products (ranging from 5 lb to 45 lb) into bins for distribution.

Inventory & Maintenance :

Record daily production logs and perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on machinery.

Job Requirements & Physical Demands Physical Stamina :

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted in a fast-paced environment.

Environmental Resilience :

Must be comfortable working in refrigerated or cold-room environments (typically 45°F-60°F or lower) for entire shifts.

Technical Aptitude :

Basic mechanical skills to operate power tools and interpret safety manuals or technical schematics. Attention to

Detail :

Precise focus required for inspecting clarity and ensuring consistent product sizing for high-end clients.

Strong Teamwork Skills :

Effective communication, responsibility, honesty, active listening, empathy, collaboration, and awareness are crucial for success in the Minnesota Ice workplace.

Qualifications Language:

Spanish Bilingual is strongly preferred but not required

Education :

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Experience :

Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehouse operations, or with CNC/waterjet machinery is highly beneficial.

Schedule :

Full Time schedule possibly Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm with occasional evenings, and weekends as dictated by production demand.
