Full-time What You'll Be Doing:
As a Small Press Set-Up Operator II, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality stamped parts that meet customer specifications. You'll independently set up and operate presses, perform quality inspections, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing operations. ________________________________________ A Day in theLife:
- Read and interpret blueprints, job routings, and work instructions
- Independently set up and operate small presses to achieve quality parts and maximum production efficiency
- Set up basic tooling and prepare presses for production runs
- Stage all required materials so production can begin without delay
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify material specifications
- Learn to perform root cause analysis on die or press issues and coordinate with toolroom and maintenance for repairs
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency
- Inspect materials and finished parts for defects and verify compliance with specifications
- Identify and label materials accurately using tags or labels
- Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Capture and document work instructions to ensure consistent setups and production runs
- Accurately enter production and quality data into the company data collection system
- Follow all established safety procedures and compliance guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1+ year of experience in metal fabrication or related work

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see and hear with vision including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating equipment
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and maintain focus during long shifts
