Job Title:

General Production Worker Job Description This role involves working in a hands-on manufacturing environment to support the production of metal components used in concrete wall assemblies. You load and monitor machinery that punches and cuts thin aluminum sheet metal, organize and bundle finished parts, and apply color-coded spray paint to meet order specifications. The position requires consistent attention to detail, comfort with mechanical equipment, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and heavy lifting throughout the shift. Responsibilities Load production machines with rolls of thin aluminum sheet metal according to established procedures. Monitor machines as they punch holes and cut sheet metal to size, ensuring proper operation and product quality. Collect processed pieces from a small conveyor belt and organize them accurately for the next production steps. Tie completed concrete wall ties together with metal wire to create secure bundles. Transport bundled wall ties to the designated storage area in an organized and efficient manner. Spray paint the ends of wall ties according to order specifications to ensure correct color coding. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure proper organization, labeling, and color coding of products. Work safely around mechanical machinery, following all workplace safety procedures and guidelines. Perform repetitive, hands-on production tasks while maintaining consistent quality standards. Lift and move materials weighing up to 5065 pounds on a repetitive basis as part of daily production activities. Essential Skills Experience working in a repetitive, hands-on manufacturing or general production environment. Comfort working with mechanical machinery, including metal stamping and metalworking equipment, without the need for programming. Ability to follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a safe work area. Capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 5065 pounds repetitively. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate organization, bundling, and color coding of products. General labor and production skills applicable to machine shop and metal shop environments. Mechanical aptitude to operate and monitor production machinery effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in metal stamping, metalworking, or fabrication. Experience working in a machine shop or metal shop environment. Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and equipment such as drill presses. Ability to read and understand simple instructions and production requirements, including basic blueprints if needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bates City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
