Bender, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Digital Print Production Specialist to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with a graphic-design background who wants to learn the production side of the commercial printing industry. No previous press-operating experience is required for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with computers and Adobe software, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is willing to learn. This position offers opportunities to grow into other areas of Bender, including graphic design, print production, customer support, and the management of customized ecommerce ordering portals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and review incoming customer orders Prepare customer files for production Check files for sizing, resolution, bleeds, fonts, and other print requirements Operate digital printing equipment Monitor print quality and ensure completed work meets job specifications Manage multiple orders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Communicate with customers and coworkers regarding order details Maintain organized digital files and production records Assist with other production responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong computer skills Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe InDesign Graphic-design, prepress, or print-production experience is helpful but not required Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Positive, professional attitude Good communication and customer-service skills Willingness to learn new equipment, software, and production processes Ecommerce or online-ordering experience is a plus
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Graphic-design coursework, vocational training, or related experience is a plus.
