Review work orders and production specifications to confirm job requirements, including correct dies, perforations, materials, and quantities. Assist the Press Operator with press setup and operation; learn press functions and start or stop equipment as directed or needed. Monitor press and stripping operations for breaks, defects, or other issues that may interrupt production. Inspect print quality throughout the production run and promptly notify the Press Operator of any quality concerns or discrepancies. Monitor order quantities and notify the Press Operator when the required quantity has been completed; stop the press when appropriate. Prepare materials for upcoming jobs by checking, opening, and organizing paper and other required supplies. Retrieve ink needed for production jobs, return unused ink to the appropriate storage area, and maintain an organized ink inventory. Maintain required production supplies, including ensuring glue is filled and readily available for press operations. Support efficient production by keeping empty skids cleared and work materials organized. Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping, folding shop towels, and completing general housekeeping duties. Follow established production procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Communicate effectively with Press Operators and other production team members to support workflow and timely completion of jobs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in the printing industry helpful; but not required.
