Job Description
WXXV-TV, a Morris Multimedia station, has an immediate opening for the position of part-time news production assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Edit video for daily newscasts
- Create graphics for broadcast
- Assist with audio and video playback in the control room
- Operate studio equipment and production systems
- Support all aspects of news gathering and production
- Learn and master multiple areas of broadcast operations
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform well under pressure during live broadcasts
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Interest in news, current events, and broadcasting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous television or media experience
- Coursework or degree pursuit in Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field We utilize DMV & criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
