(PIP), a global organization headquartered in Latham, NY, is a leading provider of hand protection and PPE to Industrial and Construction markets. Recent growth includes the joining of West Chester Protective Gear, Worldwide Protective Products, QRP, Uniform Technology, Boss Gloves and Caiman Gloves into the PIP® family. Combined, we are now a referenced global leader in Hand Protection and Safety products. We are looking to add a Front-Line Leader to our Production team in Olive Branch, MS! The Front-Line Leader role is responsible for leading a team of frontline employees, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the highest level of safety, productivity and efficiency within their assigned area. The Front-Line Leader will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and driving continuous improvement to achieve area Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
Job Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight (Safety, Quality, and Production): Promote a culture of safety ensuring compliance with site safety protocols. Serve as the primary point of contact for assessing and documenting safety incidents including near misses within assigned area. Monitor and manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality and safety standards. Monitor key area performance indicators including but not limited to safety, productivity, quality, delivery and cost. Manage workflow and labor needs to meet or exceed area KPI's. Identify operational challenges and continuous improvement ideas in assigned area and implement effective and sustainable solutions. Collaborate with management to identify and implement best practices for assigned area. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve overall performance for the site. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment, such as but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks.Leadership and Team Management:
Monitor employee performance against attendance, safety, and productivity standards. Provide feedback and coaching to employees on performance, company policy and guidelines. Identify training needs and coordinate with area training leaders and HR to close skill gaps. Promote engagement through recognition, open communication, and foster a culture of respect. Establish effective communication channels within the team and with other departments. Provide regular updates to area and site leadership on team performance and key metrics via huddle board meetings and standard operational meetings. Lead daily standup meetings to provide operational updates and ensure alignment with site goals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes safety and employee engagement.People Management Tasks:
Mentor and advise Assign and evaluate work Monitor and manage time for associates in ADP Review performance annually Core Skills /Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or distribution center environment, with 1-2 years of experience as a front-line leader or supervisor. Strong attention to detail and takes a comprehensive approach to assigned tasks or projects. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Possesses a continuous improvement mindset with prior experience or training with Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environmentPhysical Demands:
