We build made-in-USA products with a small, tight-knit team that takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and continuous improvement. About the Role We're hiring a Process Specialist to lead our small batch foam pouring operation . This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants ownership of a production process from raw chemical to finished bun — running pours, dialing in formulations, training operators, and driving quality and yield. You'll be the go-to expert on our small batch line and a key contributor to how Sandman scales its foam capability. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day execution of small batch foam pours, including setup, mixing, pouring, curing, and post-pour handling Follow, refine, and document standard operating procedures for each formulation Monitor chemical ratios, temperatures, mix times, and environmental conditions to hit density, ILD, and quality targets Troubleshoot pour defects (splits, voids, off-density, surface issues) and adjust process variables to correct them Maintain accurate batch records, yield data, and material usage logs Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance on mixing and pouring equipment Train and mentor operators on safe handling, process discipline, and quality standards Partner with production planning to hit weekly schedules and with leadership on process improvement projects Enforce PPE, chemical safety, and housekeeping standards on the line What We're Looking For Required 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, ideally in foam, chemical, coatings, composites, resin, or batch process production Comfort working with industrial chemicals, mixers, and production equipment Strong attention to detail with the discipline to follow (and improve) written procedures Ability to read scales, gauges, and basic measurements; comfortable with simple math and unit conversions Reliable, on-time attendance and willingness to work 40-45 hours per week Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for full shifts, and work in a warm production environment Preferred Direct experience pouring polyurethane, memory foam, latex, or similar cast/molded foam Familiarity with batch record-keeping, SPC, or lean manufacturing practices Experience training or leading a small production team Basic computer skills (Excel, production tracking software) Compensation & Schedule $23.50 - $27.50 per hour , based on experience 40-45 hours per week , on-site at our Tupelo, MS facility Overtime available and paid per policy Why Sandman Small-team environment where your work directly shapes the product and the process Ownership of a defined production area — not a cog in a giant plant Made-in-USA manufacturer with growing DTC and retail programs Opportunity to grow with the business as we expand foam capacity To apply: Submit your resume through Indeed. Local candidates preferred; no relocation assistance offered. Sandman Bedding is an equal opportunity employer.
