Job Description
Position Overview:
The Extraction Crewmember supports daily cannabis extraction and concentrate production operations by assisting with processing cannabis materials, operating extraction equipment, and maintaining compliance with Montana cannabis regulations and company standards. This role focuses on producing safe, high-quality concentrate products while maintaining accurate documentation, sanitation standards, and workplace safety protocols. Working under the direction of the Extraction Manager or Lead Extraction Technician, the Extraction Crewmember assists with material preparation, extraction processes, post-processing, packaging support, and equipment cleaning. This position requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation of cannabis biomass for extraction processes Support operation of extraction equipment under supervision and according to approved procedures Assist with post-processing activities including filtering, purging, refinement, and portioning of concentrate products Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extraction, cleaning, and safety protocols Maintain accurate batch records and assist with seed-to-sale tracking documentation Assist with weighing, packaging, labeling, and transferring concentrate products Monitor equipment during operation and report mechanical issues or safety concerns Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining extraction equipment and production areas Follow solvent handling and hazardous material safety procedures Support inventory tracking of raw materials, solvents, and production supplies Assist with moving cannabis materials between processing stages Maintain compliance with Montana cannabis manufacturing and tracking regulations Follow workplace safety standards and emergency response procedures Work collaboratively with extraction, packaging, compliance, and production teams Assist with quality control checks and product inspections Participate in required compliance, safety, and operational trainingQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in cannabis extraction, manufacturing, laboratory, or food production environments preferred Experience working in regulated or safety-sensitive industries preferred Basic knowledge of cannabis concentrates and extraction methods preferred Experience handling chemicals, solvents, or laboratory equipment preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures Ability to work safely around extraction equipment and hazardous materials Understanding of sanitation and production cleanliness standards Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain accurate production and compliance documentation Strong teamwork and communication skills Basic computer skills and familiarity with tracking or production software preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environmentCore Competencies:

Ability to stand and work in extraction and production environments for extended periods of time, often for full work shifts Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation, including biomass, solvents, and production materials Ability to perform repetitive motions including loading materials, monitoring equipment, filtering, portioning, and packaging concentrate products Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb step stools or ladders as needed Ability to maintain manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling concentrate materials and operating equipment Ability to safely operate extraction equipment, filtration systems, vacuum ovens, and packaging tools under supervision Ability to work in environments with exposure to solvents, cleaning chemicals, cannabis concentrates, and airborne particulates while following safety protocols Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including heated equipment areas and climate-controlled production rooms Ability to visually inspect cannabis materials, concentrates, and packaging for quality and compliance Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, respirators, protective eyewear, protective clothing, or other safety gear as required Ability to maintain attention to detail while performing production tasks and meeting production timelines Ability to comply with Montana cannabis manufacturing, safety, and security requirementsWhy Join Bloom MT:
