Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Job Summary OpSource Staffing is seeking an experienced Sewing Machine Operator III to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating industrial sewing equipment to produce quality products while following established production, quality, and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment. Essential Job Duties Safely operate industrial sewing equipment according to established procedures. Inspect materials and previously completed sewing work before beginning production. Identify and correct stitching or sewing defects when necessary. Set up and thread sewing machines and replace bobbins as needed. Load, organize, and move materials throughout the work area as required. Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines, which may include: Single-needle machines Double-needle machines Automatic sewing equipment Bartack machines Serger/overlock machines Monitor work throughout the sewing process to ensure products meet quality standards. Follow all safety procedures and verify equipment is operating properly before use. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation. Additional Responsibilities Attend required training sessions and meetings. Assist with other production tasks when needed. Follow instructions from supervisors and production leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Previous industrial sewing or sewing machine operator experience is preferred. Ability to operate different types of industrial sewing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently while also being a team player. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to maintain consistent production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to sit for extended periods while operating sewing equipment. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with sewing. Ability to visually inspect materials and stitching for quality. Ability to remain focused and attentive during repetitive production tasks. Manufacturing environment with changing production demands. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
