Job Description

SUMMARY Under minimal supervision, operates and monitors automated ammunition manufacturing, loading, and packaging equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail to ensure all stages of the production line are functioning properly, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real time to maintain safe and efficient production. The position also involves continuous, labor-intensive material handling, including repetitive lifting of heavy materials and frequent climbing of stairs or ladders throughout extended shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.)
  • Operates and continuously monitors a robotic ammunition production, loading, and boxing line to ensure all systems are functioning correctly
  • Observes equipment performance and identifies malfunctions, inconsistencies, or quality issues before they escalate
  • Troubleshoots and resolves routine production issues with minimal supervision
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering strictly to safety procedures
  • Loads and unloads raw materials into production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Uses gauges and measuring instruments to verify product meets tolerance and quality requirements
  • Understands and applies proper ammunition loading techniques and practices
  • Performs tool wear offsets and basic machine adjustments as needed
  • Completes daily cleaning and light maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintains compliance with all quality standards, specifications, and work instructions
  • Supports other manufacturing and assembly operations as needed based on production demand
WORK STYLE & EXPECTATIONS
  • Maintains constant awareness of assigned production area; every stage of the line is critical and inattention can result in significant equipment failure or downtime
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn processes, recognize problems, and apply solutions independently over time
  • Comfortable working in a fluid role and transitioning between different production or assembly assignments as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty effectively, understand ammunition manufacturing processes, and demonstrate strong observational and problem-solving skills. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
  • Two years of related manufacturing or mechanical experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with automated or robotic production equipment is highly preferred but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, understand, and communicate instructions effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements relevant to manufacturing processes.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, and apply practical solutions. Must be capable of interpreting technical instructions and responding to both routine and unexpected production issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
  • May be required to perform continuous, repetitive lifting of heavy material (such as buckets) for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts)
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders repeatedly while carrying materials
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands and arms throughout the shift
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
  • Fast-paced, production-driven setting requiring constant attention and physical activity
  • Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and production machinery
M-F 7AM-5
30PM, shifts may vary depending on production schedules. Must be flexible.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
