Job Description
The Production Associate positions are responsible for the preparation and/or finishing of all steel products being galvanized. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect and identify worn or damaged production fixtures, chains, and hooks and facilitating proper repair or discarding irreparable items Hand wiring parts to racks for pickling and galvanizing Wrapping chains and ropes around steel bundles Lift and move steel parts by hand to relocate them, hang them for galvanizing or remove them from fixtures for finishing ( 40- 60 lbs) Remove excess zinc and/or ash from steel after it is galvanized Use power tools to help prepare steel for pickling or galvanizing as well as finish products Conduct ongoing safety inspections Housekeeping of area worked in and surrounding areas as assigned Inspect material for proper preparation and quality Schedule is 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a Work hours assigned including weekend overtime as required . Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing production environment Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills Ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency and is self-motivated when addressing work tasks Team oriented Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Forklift Experience Excellent Benefit Package Generous 401k match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance (Spouse & Children) Short-term Disability Insurance Paid Holidays Profit Sharing Paid Time Off Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, extreme heat, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to move throughout the facility including on uneven terrain. Duties also require continuously moving items up to 50lbs.
