Job Description

Production Planning Assistant The Production Planning Assistant will support the Sr. Production Planner department with daily production planning, inventory coordination, data entry, reporting, and administrative activities. This position works closely with Sr. Planner, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely information is available to support manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Assist the Sr. Production Planner with daily planning and scheduling activities. Prioritize daily responsibilities and adjust to changing production and business needs. Coordinate and communicate information between Planning, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, and other departments. Perform basic calculations, measurements, and weight conversions, including conversions to kilograms. SAP experience is preferred but not required. SAP knowledge can be developed through training. Enter, update, and maintain accurate planning, inventory, production, and material information. Prepare, organize, and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and planning-related documentation. Use Microsoft Excel to sort, filter, format, organize, and analyze data. Review information for accuracy and identify discrepancies or missing information. Assist with maintaining accurate records and documentation. Perform other planning and administrative duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Previous planning, scheduling, inventory, or materials experience. SAP experience or exposure to an ERP system. Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience. Experience working with inventory, production orders, materials, or manufacturing documentation. Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments. Ability to accurately communicate and coordinate information across teams. Organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to follow established processes and procedures. Multitasking & Adaptability Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Ability to remain organized and accurate while working under time constraints. Willingness to learn new responsibilities and processes. Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Comfortable working with changing production requirements and priorities. Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail when entering, reviewing, and maintaining planning, inventory, and production-related information. Ability to identify discrepancies and correct or escalate issues as appropriate.
