JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for assisting the Pressman on processes regarding make-ready, operations and maintenance of the printing press, in doing so efficiently, safely and accurately.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Job functions include, but are not limited to the following : Assist 1st Pressman by making necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality of specifications of the work Ability to run press during absence of 1st Pressman and fulfill all the duties of a 1st Pressman in this capacity Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools. Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools. Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press. Assists in the maintenance of the press. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Schedule is 12 hours continuous ops (7 pm - 7 am). Employees are required to work overtime to include up to 12-hour shifts. Employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends for coverage and be punctual while doing so.
