Job Description

Kentek Corporation is looking for an energetic individual to join our production department. This position assists in light assembly work, organizes the warehouse, and will assist in crating and packaging large format products for customer shipment. Job Responsibilities
  • Assembles and packages laser safety partitions (cloth and metal), barriers and enclosures, curtains, and related hardware.
  • Designs and builds custom wood pallets, crates and boxes for freight shipments to customers.
  • Performs loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of assembly and storage areas.
  • Read and interpret work orders and adjust tools and materials to achieve desired product finish and product quality.
  • Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals. Job Skills & Qualifications Required
  • Must be at least 18 years old to work with industrial machines.
  • Experience with small shop tools including: table saw, cordless drill, hand saw, rivet gun, drill press, compound miter saw, panel saw, nail gun.
  • May additionally have experience with metal working equipment including shear, break, Bridgeport machining center.
  • Possess basic math skills and comfortable using a measuring tape.
  • Good physical (hand/eye) coordination.
  • Innovative, thoughtful, and attentive to detail.
  • Top-notch interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds on regular basis.
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation and Benefits Kentek offers a pay and benefits package designed to reward and retain great employees. This full-time (40 hours per week) permanent hourly position is eligible for above average hourly pay, company subsidized health insurance, dental plan, 401K with matching, term life insurance and long-term disability coverage. Occasional overtime hours may be offered. Initial pay to be determined based on experience.
