Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, well-rounded machinist to join our growing team in a senior-level role focused on machining excellence, process improvement, and manufacturing support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership of complex manufacturing work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive machining experience, strong technical ability, and the flexibility to shift priorities quickly while maintaining high standards for quality and documentation. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment Support and improve manufacturing processes across a variety of jobs and materials Develop and optimize machining methods, tooling, fixturing, and workflows Perform process troubleshooting and root cause analysis Create and modify CNC programs, including macro programming where appropriate Use CAD software to design fixtures, workholding, and manufacturing solutions Support prototype, R&D, and process development projects Identify gaps or weaknesses in existing processes and take initiative to improve them Make recommendations for improving workflow, quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance Perform in-process and final quality inspections Maintain accurate production, setup, and inspection documentation Work closely with machinists, inspection, engineering, and management teams Help prioritize work and adapt quickly to changing production demands Qualifications 10+ years of machining experience preferred Strong CNC setup, troubleshooting, and process development skills Experience with 4-axis milling and mill-turn equipment Experience with macro programming Ability to use CAD software for fixture and manufacturing design Strong understanding of GD&T, inspection methods, and quality control Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable balancing production support with continuous improvement initiatives Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or job shop environment is strongly preferred What We're Looking For We value people who: Take ownership of their work and processes Think critically and solve problems proactively Communicate clearly and work well with others Are adaptable and willing to jump into different roles as needed Care deeply about quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement This is an opportunity to play a key role in a collaborative manufacturing environment where technical skill, initiative, and process thinking are highly valued.
