Market Speed Logistics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Line Lead to join our growing Assembly Department. This area is responsible for finished goods projects such as gift set assembly, reworks, relabeling, and tester conversions. The Assembly Line Lead will play a hands-on role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while guiding and supporting the assembly team. Reporting directly to the Assembly Supervisor, this position is critical to meeting client deadlines, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, productive work environment.

This is a full-time role payrolled through a staffing agency, but you will report directly to Market Speed Logistics each day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assembly Line Lead will oversee day-to-day operations of their assigned assembly line while actively contributing to department output.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising, training, and supporting assembly line workers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with production requirements. Preparing assembly lines in advance, ensuring all components, F&A, and standards are in place. Monitoring workflow throughout the day and coordinating with other Line Leads to maintain uninterrupted progress and timely completion of client projects. Partnering with Quality Control to identify, document, and address product defects, discrepancies, or downtime. Operating and assisting with setup of labelers and other assembly machinery, performing quality checks, and completing required documentation in alignment with company SOPs and GMPs. Promoting and enforcing company rules, safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Engaging in process improvement efforts and contributing to a culture of "Working Smarter, Not Harder." Supporting department reporting by maintaining accurate production logs, line clearance, labels, pallet tickets, line returns, and timesheets. Assisting the Assembly Supervisor as needed and stepping in to address line troubleshooting or operational challenges. Communicate clear expectations to production personnel and keep them informed of matters pertaining to the job. Performing other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
2+ years of experience in a warehouse or 3PL environment, in a health and beauty assembly, packaging or production setting. Punctual, dedicated, energetic and professional manner are some of the most essential key skills required for this position. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and motivate a team. Strong communication skills (verbal and written); bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry. Assembly department equipment knowledge and operating experience (i.e. - labelers, ink jets, coders, shrink wrap systems, heat tunnels, tape machines, conveyors, etc.) Ability to read and follow written instructions and communicate effectively in small group settings. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Positive, professional attitude with flexibility to work overtime as needed. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform warehouse tasks. Reliable transportation required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with 3PL Central/Exstensiv software.
OTHER INFORMATION
Schedule:
Full-time, 7:45AM to 4:45PM, Monday-Friday, with flexibility for extended hours or weekends as needed. Our busiest season runs from fall through the holiday period, when full staff attendance and scheduling flexibility are especially critical.
Work Environment:
Warehouse/production setting requiring standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery. Must comply with OSHA safety standards.
