Pharmaceutical Production Operator Location:
Cranbury, NJ Job Type:
Full-Time Shift:
2nd Shift — 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday-Friday Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Production Operator to support manufacturing operations within a regulated pharmaceutical facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in oral solid dosage (OSD) manufacturing , particularly tablet compression, tablet coating, and granulation . This position requires hands-on operation, setup, cleaning, and troubleshooting of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment while following established GMP/cGMP procedures, SOPs, batch records, and safety requirements . Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. Perform tablet compression operations , including equipment setup, operation, in-process checks, and basic troubleshooting. Operate tablet compression/rotary tablet presses ; experience with Double Rotary presses is highly desirable. Perform or support tablet coating operations using pharmaceutical coating equipment. Perform wet/high-shear or dry granulation operations, including equipment setup and operation. Support related OSD processes such as blending, sifting, milling, drying, encapsulation, and material preparation. Complete batch records and manufacturing documentation accurately and legibly. Follow SOPs, GMP/cGMP requirements, safety procedures, and applicable manufacturing standards. Perform equipment cleaning, line clearance, and area housekeeping. Identify and report equipment or process issues and assist with troubleshooting. Participate in quality investigations and other manufacturing/quality activities as required. Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other site support teams. Maintain a clean and compliant manufacturing environment. Properly use required PPE and follow all safety requirements. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/production . Hands-on experience in a GMP or cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility . Experience with oral solid dosage (OSD) manufacturing strongly preferred. Hands-on tablet compression experience required for the primary profile. Experience with tablet coating is highly preferred. Experience with wet/high-shear or dry granulation preferred. Ability to read and understand SOPs and manufacturing instructions in English. Ability to accurately complete batch records and manufacturing documentation. Ability to operate and clean pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Technical Experience Candidates with hands-on experience in the following areas will stand out: Tablet compression / rotary tablet presses Double Rotary tablet presses Tablet coating machines High-shear/wet granulation Dry granulation Blending, milling, sifting, and drying OSD manufacturing equipment setup and troubleshooting GMP/cGMP batch manufacturing and documentation Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, including up to 8 hours during a shift. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE. Must follow applicable hygiene, gowning, and safety requirements. Schedule Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM-11:30
PM Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
