Heat Press Operator Metro Exhibits, LLC Pine Brook, NJ Job Details Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Embroidery Packing High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Material converting Full Job Description A Heat Press Operator in an apparel company is responsible for applying preprinted or digital designs to garments, fabrics, or other substrates using a heat press machine. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to production specifications, and the ability to maintain both quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Operate heat press machines (e.g., Hotronix) to apply vinyl, digital transfers, or other graphics to shirts, hoodies, hats, aprons, tote bags, and other apparel Follow production order specifications, including correct placement, temperature, pressure, and pressing time for each fabric type Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper adhesion before packaging Prepare garments and materials for pressing, ensuring correct alignment and positioning Perform daily shift maintenance on the heat press and keep the work area clean and organized Assist with inventory organization, packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation when needed Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and support other production areas Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to multitask in a time sensitive environment. Ability to work effectively in a high transactional and fast paced environment. Effective oral and written communication skills Open to feedback and coaching for improved performance. Uphold high ethical standards and moral behavior outlined in the company's Code of Conduct Improve business performance through initiative that is aligned to company goals
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years related experience or equivalent training preferred
Work Experience:
Experience with heat presses, DTF transfers, screen printing, or embroidery is preferred but not required
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
