DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Palletizer, Blend/Filler/CIP/Mix/Packaging/Loader operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs
• Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
• Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
• Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment; complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run
• Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
• Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
• Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements Safely operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load trucks and move inventory from one location to another.

Perform routine machine adjustments. Accurately maintain inventory records and paperwork. Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required. Accurately maintain shipping paperwork. Assist with powder sampling in accordance with U.S.D.A. guidelines

• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

• Knowledge of plant operations
• Proficiency with company computer systems
• Able to operate production equipment, components, and peripheral accessories

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
