ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirement; sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Activates machine and observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Inspects finish product to determine accuracy of machine operation. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines and making adjustments. Assists coworkers to set up machine, and to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished product. Reduces downtime by assuring these tasks are performed promptly. Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Basic understanding of mechanical principles Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine.
