Job Summary:
onsemi is looking to hire a Wafer Fab Operator to support operations at our semiconductor fabrication plant! Our products are found in popular high-tech devices, drones, automotive rearview cameras, gaming systems, and even medical devices and self-driving cars! You are a great fit if you... Are interested in learning what it's like to work in a highly controlled, laboratory-like environment, called a cleanroom. Have no problems wearing lightweight hoods, smocks, boots, and throughout the majority of your 12-hour shift. We also prohibit the wearing of perfume, cologne, hairspray, makeup, contact lenses, dresses, and open-toed/high-heeled shoes. These dressing requirements help protect the highly sensitive tech products you will be working with! Enjoy doing detailed work in a clean and structured environment and following established safety and quality procedures. Have a desire to learn and grow in the manufacturing or semiconductor industries! Have the drive and capability to be cross-trained (learn more than one job or operation). Enjoy working together with equipment technicians (mechanics who are charged with maintenance), process technicians (fix any defects in the wafers), engineers and managers to produce the highest quality product. Responsibilities Responsibilities Operating manufacturing tools to process high-quality products. Working in a self-directed work team environment to achieve daily goals. Interfacing with computer systems to perform job duties. Performing all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and programs.
Qualifications Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal). Must be able to work a 12-hour shift in a clean-room environment. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to lift 25 pounds over the head and frequently move it over extended distances. Must be able to stand, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time. Comfortable working with and around chemicals (safety training is provided). Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently environment. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task prioritize effectively to push tasks through to completion. Unrestricted right to work in the United States. Stable work history is a plus. onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $18.75-$25.87 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
