Production Lead Chaos Cannabis —

Liverpool, NY Starting Salary:

$80,000 Position Available September 14 Chaos Cannabis is seeking a hands-on Production Lead to help build and lead our growing manufacturing operation in New York's rapidly developing adult-use cannabis market. We currently manufacture five product lines ranging from pre-rolls to vapes to gummies and expect our production team to grow to approximately 3-5 production associates over the next three months . Workflows are in place, but the environment and processes are in need of lean refinement for consistency. Problem solving is a key attribute for the role. The Production Lead will work directly with the production team while taking ownership of production scheduling, team leadership, training, quality, efficiency, and day-to-day execution. As Chaos Cannabis grows, we expect this role to grow with it. Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing across five existing product lines and support the launch of new products.
• Plan and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on sales, inventory, and business needs.
• Help build, supervise, train, and develop a production team expected to grow to 3-5 associates in the near term.
• Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, cleanliness, safety, and accountability.
• Work hands-on alongside the production team when needed to achieve production goals.
• Ensure ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, and other production inputs are available and ready for scheduled production.
• Maintain consistent product quality and adherence to formulations, SOPs, and production procedures.
• Support cannabis compliance requirements, production documentation, batch records, and inventory controls.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve consistency.
• Help develop and improve SOPs, workflows, production metrics, and operating systems as the company scales.
• Coordinate with management, sales, inventory, and compliance teams to align production with changing business priorities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe production environment. What We're Looking For
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, cannabis production, or a similar production environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading people in a production or operational environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple products and competing priorities.
• Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• A continuous-improvement mindset with an interest in making processes faster, more consistent, and more scalable.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment where processes and systems are still being developed.
• Willingness to be hands-on and perform production work when necessary.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but strong manufacturing or food-production leadership experience is equally valuable. GMP experience is a strong plus
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Liverpool/Syracuse area .

This is a fully on-site position. Compensation & Growth Starting salary: $80,000 This position is intended to grow with the company. As production volume, product lines, and the production team expand, the Production Lead will have the opportunity to take on broader operational leadership responsibilities with corresponding compensation growth.
