Job Description of Manufacturing Expeditor:

The person that fills this position should understand the sheet metal manufacturing process and also be able to enter, expedite, and track orders through production. This person will also interface with shop employees and drivers to best communicate job requirements and meet fabrication deadlines. Strong communication and organizational skills are mandatory. This individual must be able to interact directly with customers in order to coordinate and schedule deliveries with contractors and jobsites. In addition, this person should be able to assist with the design of custom sheet metal products that fill customers' needs by asking appropriate questions and understanding their requirements. This position entails working with senior management to create and compile day-to-day job specific information through the use of detailed CAD drawings, customer-supplied specifications and customer interaction all in a custom manufacturing job-shop environment. New order entry is also a responsibility of this position.
