Job Title:
Production Finishing Specialist Job Description As a Production Finishing Specialist, you will perform hands-on deburring, grinding, and polishing of machined components to ensure every part meets strict quality and safety standards. You will work in a manufacturing environment where precision, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship are essential to delivering flawless finished parts. Responsibilities Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment such as grinders and buffers. Perform deburring, grinding, buffing, and polishing operations to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes on components. Inspect parts visually and with measuring tools to verify they meet quality specifications and dimensional requirements. Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and process sheets to complete finishing tasks accurately and consistently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient production and quality output. Identify and communicate any defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues to supervisors or appropriate team members in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with machinists, quality inspectors, and production staff to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality finished products. Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards. Comply with all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies while operating tools and equipment. Essential Skills Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment for deburring, grinding, buffing, and polishing. Ability to deburr and remove sharp edges and excess material from machined parts accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, flawless parts. Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and process sheets. Basic skills in using measuring tools for visual and dimensional inspection of parts. Capability to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and consistency. Effective communication skills to report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues. Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, quality inspectors, and production staff. Commitment to following all safety protocols and company policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general labor or production roles within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with archery or outdoor-sporting equipment manufacturing is a plus. Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in a hands-on production setting. Why Work Here? You will work around machining and finishing equipment, including hand tools, grinders, buffers, and other deburring and polishing tools. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with structured processes and detailed work instructions guiding daily activities. You will collaborate closely with machinists, quality inspectors, and production staff in a fast-paced, production-oriented facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Henrietta, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
