Job Description This General Production role supports a metal stamping manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including material handling, basic machine support, and final inspection of parts. You will work near industrial equipment, handle raw and finished products, and help prepare goods for shipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability in a small, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment. Work near presses, benders, and shears while following all safety procedures. Stack finished products and raw materials to feed equipment and maintain production flow. Prepare finished goods for shipment, including organizing, stacking, and staging materials. Inspect final parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before shipment. Use basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting, to support production and inventory tasks. Lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 40 lbs as part of daily duties. Follow instructions and standard operating procedures to complete tasks accurately and on time. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability, especially in a small crew environment. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or quality. Adhere to proper work attire requirements and wear required safety footwear at all times. Essential Skills Ability to perform basic math, including adding and subtracting. Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. Manufacturing or industrial work experience preferred, with at least 1+ year of general production or similar experience noted as beneficial. Comfort working near presses, benders, and shears in a metal stamping environment. Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and completing tasks. Self-driven approach with the ability to stay focused and productive with minimal supervision. Hard-working attitude with a willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks. Reliable attendance, especially important in a small crew setting. Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required steel toe footwear. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude is beneficial for working around manufacturing equipment. Previous general labor or production experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Willingness to work different shifts, including first and third shift roles as needed. Openness to contract-to-hire opportunities with a 4-month contract period prior to direct employment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Archbold, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
