Job Description

$20.80 per hour. Shift differential $2.00 per hour additional. 2nd and 3rd shift openings. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator will be based out of Ashtabula Ohio and will be responsible for operating process equipment, producing and packaging product, and performing other tasks essential to our production operation. Tier 3 Responsibilities (Entry Level)
  • Wear all required PPE and observe all safety regulations, with the ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear a full-face respirator
  • Operate and maintain production equipment in the area assigned according to current procedures and practices
  • Monitor performance of production operations assigned and adjust operating conditions within allowable limits, as needed to achieve performance standards.
  • Report processing and equipment problems to the Supervisor.
  • Observe and report to Supervisor, the effectiveness of processing, equipment, or method changes.
  • Obtain and record processing data as prescribed by procedure, written processing instructions or directive from supervision.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained, within their ability to control, and ensure properly obtained samples are gathered as required.
  • Be constantly on the alert for safety hazards and report any found to the Supervisor.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Operator in charge.
  • Participate in area work teams, as necessary.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions The physical demands and working conditions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Production Operators must be able to lift 50-75 pounds, must be able to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack, must perform general labor activities (cleaning, mopping, power washing, painting), must be able to read through and follow batch sheet instructions, must have limited mechanical aptitude to clean/tear down mills, and the ability to work 8-hour shifts where you are on your feet and/or walking to different areas in the plant.

$20.88 per hour
