Job Description

Sims-Lohman is a rapidly growing, mid-sized company serving the building products industry, and we are expanding our presence in Central Ohio. We are searching for a Second Shift Production Team Lead with a strong drive to meet safety, people, production and financial goals, by building a team with excellent passion for the customer. Second shift hours are 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM. with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead the manufacturing operation to produce building products. Partner with the Sales team to ensure outstanding customer service. The goal is to fabricate products correctly and install 97%+ of orders on-time without rework. Drive the safe operation of employees and equipment. Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards. Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements. Ensure all equipment is within calibration, all safety guards and devises are monitored and maintained, and personnel PPE is being used in designated areas. Ensure all records are complete and timely. Ensure all non-conforming materials are clearly identified and segregated Ensure achievement of daily production schedule
Qualifications:
3+ year's hands on leadership experience, including the management of people, preferably in a small manufacturing setting where a hands-on management style is preferred. Experience in fabrication or manufacturing; building products experience a plus. Ability to train new employees to proficiency in safety and operations. Proven ability to partner as a successful member of a cross-functional team (sales and administration). Exercise considerable initiative and judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals. Work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lead by example, gain respect from team and communicate with clarity while demonstrating excellence in your approach to work and people.
